My Passion

CRG America Logo

Prior to the career changing phone call from RJ, I spent most of my life in the automobile prototyping business. Working with the big three, designing, constructing prototype vehicles prior to there release. As well as working with the auto manufacturers with their there production policies, design and engineering. During this part of my life I learned the exacting precision that is required to build a vehicle.

During my earlier years, my father and I would always be working on our cars. How to get more out of the cars, Woodward Avenue was our test track, stop light to stop light (nothing illegal ever happened). Or like having a set of mounted slicks and jacks in the back of my 69, 427 COPO Chevelle, just in case. Boy if I had any of those cars now, Barret Jackson would have made me a lot of money.

My passion carried me through to "real" car racing. Building cars,

traveling to races, fixing broken haulers on the way to races, you name it we did it. Like putting the transmission in the back of a Corvette to get better weight balance. Paul Newman thought we were cheating! He just did not read the rule book as well as we did.

PowerTek Racing

Engines is my baby. For the longest time I have always wanted to have my own engine shop. Over almost 40 years of racing experience I have seen just about every trick, gimmick and lie ever produced, muttered or sold. My goal with PowerTek is to build the best possible power out of every engine that comes through the door. We are not going to be selling snake oil to anyone or be associated with the "part the of the month" club. If a crankshaft is to be straight, it will be straight, if cases are to be square, they will be square. In racing the details count. In racing, relationships count. Powertek builds power!

We are not new at this, we have been building engines for decades, we have the championships like all the others out there. We prefer word of mouth advertising, people that are happy with the product that we produce. Anybody can buy advertising space, money can't buy a reputation.

If you are not happy with your engine builder, or just looking for a change, give me a call. Our shop is is clean and equipped with only the best precision equipment to do get the job done correctly.

I look forward to talking with you.
